Train to Ride Program

Grades 4 - 12

For students interested in recreational riding or entry-level competition we offer the Train to Ride Program.  In small groups of students with similar levels of riding experience students can participate in the once a week or twice a week programs.

The emphasis of the Train to Ride program is to develop age appropriate equestrian skills in a fun and safe environment.  It enables students to achieve success in progressive steps.  Each level includes a stable management, riding and sportsmanship component.  Under each component, there are a number of competencies to be completed.  Upon completion of each level, students receive a certificate to acknowledge their success and at the end of the final level, students are ready to participate in the Train to Compete program or pursue their rider level exams through the national body known as Equine Canada.

Train to Ride lessons are scheduled during regular PE classes and are available to boys and girls Grades 4-8 and girls Grade 8-12.
