
Academic Summer Programs
SUMMER SEMESTER 2011
Queen Margaret's School is pleased to offer a summer program of BC Credit Courses for English 10 and English 11 at our beautiful 27-acre campus.
English 10 and English 11 will both run from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Monday through Friday, from July 4th to August 5th, 2011.
ENGLISH 10
This course provides students with the opportunity to study literature, information communications and mass media. The aim of the program is to enable each students to experience and enjoy literature, and to use the English language with confidence, fluency, clarity and precision.
ENGLISH 11
This course is a combination of the study of language and literature. The language section includes writing skills with a focus on essay-writing and vocabulary. The literature section of the course includes short stories, novels, plays and poetry.
AFTERNOON TOEFL/IELTS
Students requiring TOEFL and/or IELTS certification for university entrance may register for our optional TOEFL/IELTS program running for two hours in the afternoons from July 4th to 17th, 2011. Each student will receive personalized language skill development and test preparation tips. The official preparation guide and two on-line practice tests are included.
