School Policies

At Queen Margaret’s School, we protect the welfare of others and provide an environment where we are safe to be individuals and learners.

Many of our procedures and policies are outlined in our student handbooks, including the Student Code of Conduct. The QMS Bullying and Harassment Policy and the Student Information & Communication (ICT) Acceptable Use Policy, as detailed below, apply to all students at Queen Margaret’s School. All students and their parents are asked to familiarize themselves with these policies and procedures and sign an Agreement to Abide By QMS Policies and Procedures Form, which will remain in effect as long as a student is attending QMS or until cancelled/changed in writing.

If you have any questions about our school policies, contact the School Administration Office at reception@qms.bc.ca to speak with your principal.

Accessibility

Accessibility Act

The Accessible British Columbia Regulation, under the Accessible British Columbia Act, came into force on September 1, 2022. These regulations identify schools as prescribed organizations, school districts, and independent schools will be required to have an Accessibility Committee, an Accessibility Plan, and a tool to receive feedback on accessibility. The goal of the act is to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and involve them in identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to their full participation in the life of the province.

Report An Accessibility Barrier

Queen Margaret’s School has developed this barrier reporting form that allows members of the QMS community to include information about their accessible experiences. Responses can be anonymous, or a name and contact information can be provided if wished to be contacted.
